Lathe and Plaster Ceiling removed to reveal beams.  Curiously Stairs not constructed using Carriage Beams.
Fortunately No Termite Damamge
Stairs  joins had opened up with age forcing staircase to drop and move.

Stairs"jackedup", glued and clamped; Timber chocks returned under the steps, and metal strapping to help with strength.

Detail of open joins and amazingly original screw still shiny as new.
